We are a practical, 'hands-on' organisation designing and manufacturing
custom electronic devices for a wide range of applications. We are
expanding our Electronic Engineering capability.
Position: Electronic Engineer
Duties: Designing electronic
products including Schematic, PCB, embedded microcontroller hardware
and software, PC software and documentation (User Manuals,
manufacturing, etc), liasing with clients.
Knowledge, Experience and
Qualifications
Must be enthusiastic about designing and building
electronic 'stuff'.
Must be interested in microcontrollers, especially the Atmel AVR.
Must be interested in analogue circuits.
Must have excellent ENGLISH written and oral skills.
Must have a good knowledge of and experience using the C programming language and also be comfortable with assembly
language (Atmel AVR) in a single-chip microcontroller environment.
Must have a good understanding of electronic hardware design (microcontrollers,
power supplies, Ethernet, UARTs, op-amps, transistors, serial comms
(RS232/RS485) etc.).
Must be neat, meticulous, organized, ethical, have a positive attitude,
a sense of humour and be willing to work with others and learn new things.
Should understand EMI/EMC design and compliance issues.
Should have experience with Protel 99SE or Altium Designer.
Windows application development skills would be advantageous.
Should require minimal supervision but not be afraid to ask
questions to solve a problem efficiently.
Engineering degree optional.
Amateur Radio qualification considered favourably.
Mechanical skills an advantage (using hand tools and power tools to
build presentable prototypes).
Residing in the Parramatta-Blacktown area would be an advantage.
You could be an experienced Engineer or a recent graduate looking for
practical experience and a long-term career in Electronic Engineering.
